Sarah Kimball
Sarah Kimball brings extensive non-profit leadership and hospitality experience to her role at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh. A Newburgh native, Sarah began her career at the Newburgh Free Library while earning her BA and MA degrees in English Literature from SUNY New Paltz. Her journey into fundraising, initially an unexpected path, saw her supporting various organizations, including Historic Huguenot Street, The Art Effect, The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, Access: Supports for Living, and AdLib, among others.
Sarah's commitment to community service is evident through her active volunteer roles. She is the Immediate Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Greater Hudson Valley, a member of the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce’s Scavenger Hunt Committee, a grant review volunteer for The United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region, and a volunteer with Catskill Mountain Shakespeare.
Her outstanding contributions have been recognized with several accolades, including Manager of the Quarter at the Kartrite Resort, the Dutchess County Chamber of Commerce’s 40 Under 40 Mover & Shaker Award, AFP-GHV’s Rising Star Fundraiser Award, and the Community Advocate Award from Leadership Dutchess. As an alopecia and autoimmune warrior, Sarah is particularly passionate about advancing resources and services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to stable housing.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Sarah enjoys writing, painting, drawing, reading, thrifting, and supporting the Dallas Cowboys and New Jersey Devils with her husband and two young sons.
