K. James Dittbrenner
Mr. Dittbrenner currently serves as Senior Vice President and Regional Market President of Community Development Lending and Investment for Webster Bank. Mr. Dittbrenner is charged with identifying and developing commercial relationship
opportunities for Webster in the community and economic development space with a keen focus on affordable housing throughout Metro-New York, New Jersey, the lower Hudson Valley, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Mr. Dittbrenner works with for-profit and not-for- profit affordable housing developers, general contractors, architects, engineers and attorneys to support developments utilizing various funding initiatives including but not limited to State, Federal, Historic, Energy and Brownfield Tax Credits, New Market Tax Credits, supportive housing programs, grants and subsidy.
Prior to joining Webster Bank, Mr. Dittbrenner served in executive positions as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer for several for-profit affordable housing development and property management firms. Over the course of 7-years in the development space, Mr. Dittbrenner played a key role in the development of over 2000 permanent affordable housing units for seniors, veterans, working families and individuals with developmental or other special needs.
Mr. Dittbrenner began his career as an Auditor for a regional financial institution and grew his financial services career over 30 years, progressing through several official management and leadership positions in consumer, municipal, non-profit and commercial lending.
Mr. Dittbrenner resides in Orange County with his family and is active in various community organizations. Mr. Dittbrenner currently represents Webster Bank on the Board of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing and additionally holds industry certifications as a Credit Business Associate, Tax Credit
Specialist and Certified Apartment Manager.
