Serving Local Families for 25 Years
We are honored to have served local families for the last 25 years, and while we are reflecting on our work, and celebrating the past, we are also building for the future and the initiatives we have in store for affordable homeownership.

Community Coffee Break
Join us on Wednesday, March 10th at 10am, as we host our annual Women Build event virtually. Habitat Newburgh hosts Women Build Week each year in an effort to raise awareness of the challenges women face in accessing safe, affordable housing.

We will be speaking with our guests: Ramona Monteverde, Council Representative Ward 2 in the City of Newburgh and Director of Operations at Safe Harbors of the Hudson; and Lisa Morris, Assistant Vice President, Public Relations & Corporate Communications for Hudson Valley Credit Union.
Families should never have to spend more than 30% of their income on a home, but hardworking families in our community are coming up short because of systemic issues and an inequitable economy. Ramona will address this issue and share how the City of Newburgh is currently working on several initiatives to help reduce housing costs, as well as preserve and expand the affordable housing supply. Following Ramona, Lisa will educate us on how to address these challenges, and the steps that can lead to making homeownership a reality.
We hope you will tune in for this informative coffee break!!
