E. Parmenter Street

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is partnering with Leyland Alliance for it's largest undertaking to date - a neighborhood development project on and around E. Parmenter Street in Newburgh. This project will create a mixed-income neighborhood with 24 new homes where derelict buildings and abandoned lots now exist. Habitat plans to build 8 homes for partner families at the very-low income level (25-50% of the area median income), and 16 houses will be built in partnership with Leyland Alliance for affordable, workforce housing (80-120% of area median income). Recognizing the large spectrum of housing needs in our community and the great value of partnering with other organizations, Habitat for Humanity is energetically embarking on the planning for this venture.
