Completed Projects
42 E. Parmenter Street
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh was thrilled to partner with the Temple of Liberal Judaism (Temple Beth 'El) in Monroe and the greater Jewish community of Orange County to build a home in loving memory of Mike Levine. The first Temple Build, this home will carry on the work and vision of the former Times Herald Record Editor and community leader, turning his vision for social justice into reality.
Like the other Habitat houses on E. Parmenter Street, Mike's House has been built to exceed Energy Star standards through the use and implementation of 'green' building materials and methods - renewable bamboo flooring, high R-factor insulation, programmable thermostats, Energy Star appliances, and more. It is a 3-bedroom, 2-story house that will soon be part of a 24-home mixed-income neighborhood in a historic district, complete with pocket parks.
Mike's House is now home to the Rosales Family.
